Unfortunately, most homes in the real world are anything but toxin free and safe! Did you know that we come into contact with 500 or more harmful chemicals and toxic substances every day?

While there are multiple causes of disease, there is a great deal of evidence that repeated daily and weekly exposure to chemicals found in our cosmetics and household cleaning products is a major contributing factor to the escalating health crisis in our world.

Our skin is our largest organ. Daily we use various body washes and toxic, hormone disrupting lotions on our skin. The toxins go directly into our blood stream! Even well-known baby products contain these toxic ingredients.

It comes as a surprise to most people that the cosmetics industry is self-regulated. This means the ingredients they use are not tested for safety by any governmental or regulating bodies. They do not even have to list all the ingredients they put in our personal care products. If you have ever read a label, you might recall that most of the ingredients you’ve never heard of and can’t pronounce anyway!

Additionally, many products that advertise being "natural" and "non-toxic" are not truly natural, nor are they free of toxins. To make sound choices about what you expose yourself to, you must become familiar with ingredients and READ THE LABELS.

Did you know that people who work in the factories creating these personal care items have to wear protective garments to keep themselves from getting the toxic ingredients on their skin. And, if you are asking….yes, these items are created for use on our skin.

Other countries are already starting to ban certain products that contain these toxic/hormone disrupting ingredients. Due to the huge and financially powerful cosmetics industry in the United States, however, this information is often downplayed or ignored.
